So loads of rally teams have gone to Wales this weekend to try out their cars and have a good old fashioned pagan party - but I had to work (Martha was gutted!)

It all worked out for the best however for 2 reasons:

1. Martha has suffered her first breakdown - well sort of anyway - I wanted to see how low on fuel she could go - i.e. does the guage work or not. Not satisfied that she was still running when the guage said she was empty I continued to drive her until she broke down at the end of my street. I pushed her home but because she was at home I havent got round to getting here fueled up again yet. Its on the to do list right after the visa applications!

2. The weather was miserable and there were gale force winds for the teams that went and torential rain. Whilst I'm sure it has benefitted them for their preperation they have all driven a long way with I suspect some nasty hang overs in really bad weather (perhaps very good preperation!) but I am happy to be in a nice warm office! :D

Maybe I've gotten too old and boring for this sort of stunt!

Right - going to go and get Martha started and hope that the crud at the bottom of the tank hasn't caused any problems - at least I now know that empty means empty!
