It was a bit of a no-brainer really. I could either take my incredibly unreliable Martha or a newly serviced more capable car. Of course I chose Martha - she's my rally partner and I couldn't go without her. Credit to the garage though - they got her fixed up nice with working brakes, a repaired suspension and they even managed to fix that strange knocking noise.

We're on the road again now though heading up towards Barnaul and Novosibirsk in Russia. We're hoping to be at the Mongolian border within 2 days... (so hopefully Tuesday). Despite being newly fixed Martha is still limping along a bit - (well, she is pretty old) - so maybe 2 days is a bit optimistic but we're gonna aim for that anyway.
