Martha

Martha is a 49 year old Morris Minor. She has an engine made predominantly from wood, a chassis made from compressed cow dung and a top of the range CD Multi-Changer, (CD changer does not come as standard, please refer to Owners Manual)!! The seats are reasonably comfortable, (for the first 30 seconds or so anyway), and spare parts for these beauties are virtually non-existent. The chances of getting her home, or through an MOT for that matter, are slim to nil but Ulaanbaatar here we come!

Over the coming months we will be doing a lot of work on Martha, (mainly the sound system as we figure it could take some time for international RAC to reach us in the Kazak desert and we want entertained for the wait)! We are considering re-spraying her to represent our sponsors although her dull grey-blue colour does provide a good camouflage to blend in with the sky! Why don’t you buy a panel on Martha, either for your own personal message to a loved one (“Hello Mum!!” perhaps), or to advertise your business?

Note: Please don’t tell the guy we bought her off that we’re driving her to her final resting place in Mongolia. He thinks we’re classic car enthusiasts and are restoring her to her former glory. He even asked for pictures when we’ve finished. Does anyone have a fully-restored Morris Minor, (in sky-grey), we can paint-shop our number plate onto and email to him?
